For QHarmony, 2020 started like any other year with a new yearsacitivity, a pubQuiz, a QLadiesnight and a QMensnight and finally a diner rouler on the 7th of March. We were also busy preparing our concert that would take place on the 15th of April.
As you all know, that is not how 2020 turned out after that. The rehearsal on the 11th of March turned out the be the final rehearsal for Q for a very long time and everything that was planned, had to be cancelled: the concert on the 15th of April, all activities and even our concert trip to Slovenia could not go through.
But, 2020 was not only the year of cancelations. It was also an eventful year for QHarmony for other reasons. Activities like the Batavierenrace and pubQuizzes were suddenly held online and the creativity of our committees and our board were tested to its fullest, to be able to stay in contact. We were also able to welcome our new conductor Henk-Jan Heijnen and we found some unique spots to be able to rehearse in the Goffert theatre and cultuurspinnerij de Vasim. Last, but definitely not least, QHarmony got a completely new look with its new logo.
In review, QHarmony can look back on a special and hopefully unique year for the orchestra.
